SG HAMBROS TROPHY

Montenmedio was the venue for our latest tournament on Sunday 12th October where the sponsors were SG Hambros and it turned out to be a very successful day for John Dale who won the crystal trophy, along with the weekend for two at the superb 5-star resort at La Cala. In second place was Duncan Balban, with John Hunter third and they both won vouchers to exchange in the pro shop. Duncan's performance also earned him the “star quality” prize and John added to his list of achievements on the day by recording the best gross score with a fine round of 78, as well as winning the prize for the lowest total on the par 3's. The senior division was won by John Caruana, the top lady was Barbara Briggs, with Joe Sanchez and Stefan Larsson taking the team prize. The day's other prize winners were George Desoisa, Paul Appleyard, Neville Dennitt and Simon Young.

This was the third tournament in the 2008/09 season for the “player of the year” title, where the top ten members in our rankings receive an invitation to our Masters event at Valderrama in late summer 2009.

Improve your average at our next competition at Estepona Golf Club on Sunday 16th November, where the sponsor is the Gala Casino.
