The latest Med Golf competition was at Estepona Golf Club on Sunday 14th November, where the sponsors were Gala Casino, the day was a great success with over 50 players enjoying a shotgun start together, great weather and a super lunch after the round.

The winner on the day was Gary Chant who won the crystal trophy and the weekend for two at the 5-star La Cala Resort. In second place was Rory Leader, with David Liu third, they both won vouchers to exchange in the pro shop. Louis Posso won the star quality prize and Tim Rickson added to his list of achievements on the day by recording the best gross score of just 76 shots.

The senior division was won by David Liu, the top lady was Janet Anderson, with Gary Chant and Kevin Valentine taking the team prize. Other prize winners were Gary Pigot, Ben Cannon, Keith Johnson, Campbell Young, John Hunter and Ron Brayson.

The campaign for the 2008/09 "player of the year" award is well under way and with the top ten members at the end of July receiving invitations to the Med Golf Masters at Valderrama in late summer 2009, competition is fierce. The next tournament is the Christmas Event at Alcaidesa on Sunday 14th December where Aage Hemple International are the sponsors.
