The latest Med Golf competition took place at Alcaidesa Golf Club on Sunday 14th December, where the sponsors were Aage Hemple International. It was a successful day for Denny To who won the sponsors crystal trophy and a pro shop voucher for 130 euros with a winning overall score of 36 points.

Winner of the 1st category (0- 12 handicap) was John McHale with 34 points and runner up was Tim Rickson with 30 points.

Winner of the 2nd category (13- 21 handicap) was Louis Calvente with 36 points and runner up was Denny Liu with 35 points.

Winner of the 3rd category (22 - 36 handicap) was Nicky Sanchez with 36 points and runner up was Soeren Valbro with 33 points.

The senior division was also won by Denny To and best gross score went to Tim Rickson who played the course in just 79 shots. Other prize winners for nearest the pins and longest drive were were Sally Rickson, Johann Olivera, Geoff Watchorn, Keith Mack, Simon Young and Peter Warren. The campaign for the 2008/09 “Player of the Year” award is well under way and with the top ten members at the end of July receiving invitations to the Med Golf Masters at Valderrama in late summer 2009, competition is fierce now after 5 events.
