EPI Iberia Trophy

Med Golfers enjoyed a super day on the Alcaidesa Links course on Sunday the 16th December playing for the EPI Iberia Trophy.

It was a cold and crisp start for 60 golfers but the calm conditions resulted in some high scoring with Jeff Richardson (originally from Scotland) best suited to the cold morning start and posting a winning score of 44 points. Jeff collected the sponsor's crystal trophy and a weekend for two at the 5 star Montecastillo Golf Hotel and Spa in Jerez, arranged by Med Golf Holidays.

Jeff also won the nearest the pin on the 6th hole nearest the pin in two on the 4th, he also won the top senior player.

Runner up on the day was Simon Young and next best score went to Josh Jones. Josh also helped his farther Kevin take the top team prize on the day with a great combined score of 77 points.

Other winners on the day included Billy Curbishley, Kate Davies, Johann Olivera and John McHale, all winning nearest the pin prizes. The best gross score on the day with a 76 shots was John Hunter, John also won the best gross score on the par 3's playing them to par, all the practice must be paying off!

Other trophy winners on the day were, Longest Drive to Tim Rickson, the Top Lady Trophy went to Julie Brewer and the Star Quality Trophy to Claudio D'Ascenzi.
