When you enter a Med Golf competition, not only do members have the chance to win the sponsors trophy but also each and every winner receives a special invitation to play in the Med Golf Masters at Valderrama. This event not only features all our tournament winners but our player of the year and senior player of the year. Held in November, we make sure there are also spaces for corporate guests to play and if you are interested we would be happy to supply further details if you contact Johnathan Goodson at jg@medgolf.gi
All our tournament category winners receive crystal prizes, as well as pro-shop vouchers to spend. On the day we also include various other minor tournament competitions, so there is a lot to play for, with golf balls, Med Golf equipment and Glenmuir clothing on offer to those winners.
The winner of Gibraltar Gala Casino Trophy at Almenara on the 22nd January was Denny To and Denny has now won successive tournaments with the Aage Hempel Marine Electronics trophy already under his belt. Having already qualified for Valderrama, he now has his sights set on the player of the year and top senior trophy as well. There was a very good turnout of nearly 70 golfers but the "Black Crow" has noted Chris Watkins did not make his tee time and unfortunately the required notice was not given. In the "score card" draw, Greg Rogers won a dinner voucher to the value of £80, which was kindly donated by the Gibraltar Gala Casino. Martyn Brown was the lucky winner of the two rounds of golf with buggy at Almenara, which was kindly donated by the host club.
