Sunday 6th November saw the culmination of the 2005 season for Med Golf when all the winners of their monthly competitions, the player of the year and top senior came together to contest the SG Hambros Med Golf Masters. As in previous years, the season's finale was held on the championship course at Valderrama, which just a week ago hosted the final European Tour event, the Volvo Masters. Also joining the competition winners were invited corporate guests and representatives of the sponsors, who were playing for their own corporate trophy. In all there were 24 golfers taking part and the winner of the SG Hambros Med Golf Masters for 2005 was Philip Bootsma with Dr, Gunter Schafer taking the corporate trophy. Philip is only 12 years old and all his hard work and practice with the Dutch youth squad is beginning to pay dividends.

Philip and Gunter were presented with their trophies at the Gala dinner held in the Valderrama restaurant, where Group Managing Director, Andy Hunter, paid tribute to all the sponsors who make it possible to play the season's finale at Valderrama and in particular SG Hambros, the main sponsors of the event.
