Vinny Samways Med Golf Masters Champion 2007

Valderrama on Sunday 11th November witnessed the climax of the 2006/07 Med Golf season with the prestigious Med Golf Masters being played out Europe’s number one course.
Med Golf event winners from the last 12 months competed alongside our corporate guests just one week after the Volvo Masters took place, players enjoying the same fast greens and same difficult rough! This year’s Med Golf Masters was sponsored by EPI Iberia, Antico Mulino D'Oro, Blue Sky Property Management Sotogrande and O’Reilly’s Irish Bar, Ocean Village.
 

After a super day in near perfect conditions the presentation took place during the gala dinner event in the Valderrama clubhouse. The Med Golf Masters Champion 2007 was announced as Vinny Samways who scored a very credible 33 points. The Med Golf Masters Corporate Champion was Francis Caruana, and the winning 4 ball team was John Dale, Vinny & Frank Samways and James O’Doherty.

Qualifying is now well under way for the 2008 Masters sponsored by EPI Iberia where the top ten qualifiers will take their place at Valderrama in September

The number one player at the end of the rankings year is also rewarded with a year’s free membership at Estepona Golf valued at over Euro1400, kindly donated by course owner’s Rory and Amanda Leader.
