Aage Hempel International Trophy

Estepona Golf was the venue for the Med Golf competition in November sponsored by Aage Hempel International.

Following rain on Saturday the tournament day was bright and sunny, ideal weather conditions for golf.

Leading the way on the day was John McHale with an outstanding score of 38 points, John collected the sponsors's trophy as well as a prize of a weekend for two at the 3 golf course La Cala Resort near Fuengirola.

Tim Mitchell was in second place and Roy Azopardi taking third, both golfers winning prize vouchers from the Estepona pro shop. Roy will need a bigger trophy cabinet as he also won the best gross score on the par 3's, nearest the pin on the 16th hole, overall best gross score and the top senior prize! Other nearest the pin winners were Paul Singleton, Josh Hunter and George Lee. Chris and Peter Warren won the top team prize with a combined score of 68.

Other crystal trophies were awarded to Steve Parry with the longest drive on the 6th hole. The "top lady" on the day was Julie Brewer, and Claudo D'Ascenzi took the "star quality" prize.
