Los Moriscos Golf Course
Impressive Playa Granada is surrounded by the 18-hole Los Moriscos golf course which started out in life as a 9-hole course in 1974, before adding a further 9 holes in 2006. During that project, the existing course was also revamped, and now visiting golfers can expect an enjoyable test of holiday golf.
With the Sierra Nevada mountains providing the perfect backdrop, Los Moriscos only measures 5,500 yards from the back tees, so is perfect for those looking for a relaxing game under the Spanish sun. Lower handicappers will expect to score well given the length of the course and the generally flat fairways, but Los Moriscos is by no means a pushover. A number of large water hazards come into play on no less than 11 holes, most notably the par 3 14th, which is the signature hole on the course owing to its dramatic island green.
While rolling out of bed onto the first tee is an ideal situation for golfers visiting Spain on a golf holiday, Los Moriscos isn’t the only golf course available for guests visiting Impressive Playa Granada Golf Resort. The fantastic Santa Clara Golf Course is also an option. A little over 30 minutes by car from the resort, this relative newcomer on the Costa del Sol golf scene has quickly become a fan favourite and even hosted the 2003 Spanish PGA Championships, just five years after opening for play.
