El Valle Golf Course

Set against the backdrop of the Murcian Mountains, El Valle is another of the region's courses that were conceived by the great Jack Nicklaus.

The par-71 layout measures over 6,500 yards from the back tees, and is a good test for everyone. The relatively flat terrain makes El Valle a pretty easy walk, while the pure white sand, lakes and palm trees make the course truly gorgeous.A pleasant and gentle resort course, El Valle is well worth a visit as a part of your next golfing holiday to South-Eastern Spain.

La Torre Golf Course

La Torre, designed by the great Jack Nicklaus, is similar in style to the famous resort courses of Florida and as such players must safely negotiate vast swathes of sand and the ever present threat of water hazards lurking at the edge of the fairways and around the slick and true putting surfaces.

Measuring a meagre 5,945 yards from the back tees, La Torre is playable for golfers of all abilities and while talented players and the big hitters may find it to be comparatively short, the strategy and precision required from the back tees still poses questions of any golfers skill.

Alhama Signature Golf Course

With excellent conditioning assured and sunny skies almost guaranteed all that is left is the layout of the course itself and Nicklaus’ design does not disappoint.

Generous fairways place little pressure on the golfer from the tee – the perfect excuse to go for it with the driver – but hit a sufficiently errant shot and you will certainly be punished; the rough might not be deep but the native grasses are lush and thick, making excavating your ball a tough task. For the better player, hitting the correct portion of the fairway is vital; doglegs and gently curving holes can result in mich longer approaches if you miss on the wrong side.

Like any classic Nicklaus design, from the tee shot onwards, the course demands much more from the golfer. Green complexes are well protected buy deep bunkers and expansive water hazards and even when safely on the green in regulation, two putting is no mean feat. Measuring a little over 7,500 yards from the tips, Alhama can certainly test the accomplished golfer but with multiple teeing positions on each and every hole, golfers of all shapes and sizes can take the Nicklaus test.
